Started Black Sex Link Pullet
Pullets are 14-20 weeks old and with the proper diet and care, should be laying very soon.
The Sex Link Hybrid is the result of crossing two heritage purebred poultry standard chicken breeds together, the Rhode Island Red chicken rooster and the Barred Rock chicken hen and cross them to give you this outstanding brown egg laying hen offspring. The baby chicks for sale from this original cross are color sexable chicks- the grown roosters have faded barred with light colored neck hackle feathers, grown pullets or hens are black with red mixed in their neck hackle feathers. This hybrid chicken breed makes for very vigorous chicks, rugged brown egg laying hens and good cockerel chicken fryers. Although not a show chicken, they are great for raising hens for eggs and pet chickens for the backyard or farm. Many customers like the Black Sex Link chicken for raising free range chicken eggs or organic free range chickens.
Average Mature weights: Rooster: 8-9 lbs., Females: 6-7 lbs.
PICKUP POLICY
Started pullets will be available for pickup on the Saturday you request. We are only reserving pickup two weeks ahead. If you are wanting to reserve an order for a later date, wait until it's two weeks before that date to reserve your order. You will receive an email confirmation the Wednesday before pickup with all the pickup details. Chase Hatchery will be at the Benson Grist Mill Farmers Market June 22nd through October 19th, pickup address is 325 UT-138, Stansbury Park, UT.
All pullet orders must be picked up on the date selected. NO EXCEPTIONS! Any order not picked up by the date selected will not be held for a longer period of time and will be considered abandoned. Because of the perishable nature of the product, we can not issue a refund for orders that are abandoned.
Please Note: Every effort will be made to ensure pullets are ready to be picked up as expected.
