Silver Appleyard

Developed by Reginald Appleyard of England in the 1930’s, this larger duck is considered to be one of the most active foragers. This is very helpful for insect control. Silver Appleyard Ducks have the potential to hatch and raise their own ducklings and are considered one of the best egg layers in the heavyweight duck class. Silver Appleyard Ducks are also known to many to have a very flavorful, lean meat. Both the male and female Silver Appleyard Ducks have beautiful plumage with colors including reddish chestnut, silver-white, gray, brown, and buff. Whether you are looking for a great egg layer, gourmet meat bird, or an ornamental pet duck, the Silver Appleyard Duckling has it all and would make an excellent addition to any flock.
PICKUP POLICY
Orders are ready for pick up the date the order is placed. To ensure your chick order is available, we ask that orders placed Monday and Tuesday are picked up Tuesday by 6:00, orders placed Wednesday and Thursday are picked up Thursday by 6:00, and orders placed Friday and Saturday are picked up Saturday by 5:00. Orders will not be held past these dates. There is no guarantee of mortality or morbidity once poultry leaves our store. Be sure to check your box of chicks before you leave.
