Silkies
Silkie Chickens are a highly sought after pet bird because of their down-like feathers. They are soft, cuddly, and super sweet. They are covered in feathers from their heads, down to their toes! They also have unusual black skin and feet, as well as five toes. Silkies are thought to have medicinal qualities in Chinese culture. Silkies are also broody and make great mothers, and are often kept to incubate eggs and care for the chicks. Silkies are a mix of bearded and non-bearded.
Average weight: roosters 36 oz, hens 34 oz.

PICKUP POLICY
Orders are ready for pick up the date the order is placed. To ensure your chick order is available, we ask that orders placed Monday and Tuesday are picked up Tuesday by 6:00, orders placed Wednesday and Thursday are picked up Thursday by 6:00, and orders placed Friday and Saturday are picked up Saturday by 5:00. Orders will not be held past these dates. There is no guarantee of mortality or morbidity once poultry leaves our store. Be sure to check your box of chicks before you leave.
