Started Austra White Pullet
Pullets are 14-20 weeks old and with the proper diet and care, should be laying very soon.
Austra Whites are a cross between a Black Australorp rooster and a White Leghorn hen. This cross produces a white bird with black flecks. Being a first generation cross, legs can be either yellow or gray. Austra Whites retain the foraging and excellent laying capabilities of the Leghorns while being a little heavier and friendly like the Australorp.
These fast maturing birds are prolific layers of white or cream colored eggs. Hens have been known to lay as early as 12 weeks and you can expect 4 to 5 eggs per week. They are an excellent hybrid breed for those that want lots of eggs from calm and nice hens.
Average Mature weights: Rooster: 6.5 lbs., Females: 5 lbs.
PICKUP POLICY
Started pullets will be available for pickup on the Saturday you request. We are only reserving pickup two weeks ahead. If you are wanting to reserve an order for a later date, wait until it's two weeks before that date to reserve your order. You will receive an email confirmation the Wednesday before pickup with all the pickup details. Chase Hatchery will be at the Benson Grist Mill Farmers Market June 22nd through October 19th, pickup address is 325 UT-138, Stansbury Park, UT.
All pullet orders must be picked up on the date selected. NO EXCEPTIONS! Any order not picked up by the date selected will not be held for a longer period of time and will be considered abandoned. Because of the perishable nature of the product, we can not issue a refund for orders that are abandoned.
Please Note: Every effort will be made to ensure pullets are ready to be picked up as expected.
